Mondo Cozmo and Matt Pinfield talk about Cozmo's breakout hit and the moment he thought, '[I'm not] going to be digging holes much longer.'

2017 was a big year for Mondo Cozmo. The LA-based rocker released his debut album, Plastic Soul, which hit eight on the Billboard Heatseekers chart. He played Jimmy Kimmel Live!, performed at the Grammy Museum and released a video starring Anna Faris. And in November, he joined A Beautiful Perspective and Emerge Impact + Music at Brooklyn Bowl in Las Vegas for an exclusive, one-night-only showcase featuring a handful of our favorite on-the-rise artists to benefit the Las Vegas Victims’ Fund.

While he was there, Cozmo caught up with DJ and music journalist Matt Pinfield to talk about struggling to find success and how it felt when his single “Shine” finally broke through. Check out their interview in our exclusive video.
